Does Fleet Ops require Base Armada 2 installed?

I'm loving the full v3 of Fleet Ops, but the game is laggy and sometimes crashes for me, because my computer is not state-of-the-art.

I think i can help my problem simply by uninstalling stuff i don't use - so i'm wondering if i can include base Armada 2 in that... Once Fleet Ops is properly installed in my computer, can i uninstall Armada 2?

You can... but be aware that you'll have to put in the CD to play (if you don't already have a virtual copy of AII)

Ah cool; keeping the CD in is no handicap, so long as the comp-memory can be freed up. Thanks

please install Fleet Operations to a blank, new folder. You can use an existing armada2 Installation as installation reference if you dont want to take your CD out of your box
