The federation (haven't tried others yet) decommission ship sound effect starting as the ship docks and is taken apart wont end, it will drive me crazy  :woot:  :crybaby: :borg:
Any ideas how to get rid of it? its file name, change it to a blank file?
happened in PR as well.

That reminds me, the klaxon for the Akira's defense patterns does not play either.

Yeah, it's a very old bug, even myself have reported it long time ago but it seems to stay alive from version to version.

I have never tried to delete the sound file, i don't know how A2 would react for that, but you can simply replace it with a file which does not contain sound.
For example there is an empty.wav in the Fleet OperationsDatasoundseffects folder. You can copy it, then rename it and replace another annoying sound with it.
The three most annoying sounds are the cornrclk.wav & cornron.wav  - these are the buttons sounds of the main menu, which seem to ignore the button click volume settins and play loudly all the time...
And there is also the annoying decommission sound which is Repairing.wav, just replace it with the empty one, it will eventually get stuck playing, but you wont hear anything...

Edit:
For those who hear a scratch whenever the empty.wav is played, here is another completely silent wav file attached to this post.

If you really want to get rid of it, do this: send a vessel in for repairs at the same yard that the vessel was decommissioned at, or decommission the yard itself!  That 2 one is a last resort, though.
