Crash On Startup

I recently got a netbook and since it has a better graphics card than my old compaq (which the game ran on) and probably an equivalent processor, i figured i'd give i a whirl. I Installed it and when i went to play, the game crashed on startup (it didnt even make it into the main menu)

It kind of looks like DX8 is not working.  Can you try another DX8 application and see if it works?

Ill see if i can find one. You're saying this relates to your problem with crashing? mine gets the fancy fleetops crash dialog though...

Nah, mine is just because the Delphi UI thing he uses is horribly broken, not related to your problem.
