cant play the game

I owned armada 2 but the cd cracked, i have a backup and tried mounting it but this does not work and fleet ops keeps asking for the cd, any help would be appreciated, i haven't been able to play the new 3.06 version at all, still don't understand all the protection that gets thrown into this....

use daemon tools,u load armada 2 mds into it,and if u notice it loads up the menu sayin play armada 2,open folder and all that

just load up fleet ops and set options and launch,works fine for me,didnt want to risk me scratched disk so use the back up to play fleet ops,but versions 3.0.5a doesnt ask for the disc it recognises installed files and plays anyway or summut like that,hope u get it workin its a gr8 game

I have made a mini ISO image of the EXE, it is 3.4mb and allows to install and run fleet ops, I made it from my own CD, you need daemon tools or something like it to mount the ISO.

I will give a copy to anyone that needs it in emergency.

or you could just download the crack from a trusted site that cracks your own armada 2 executable and allows you to play fleet ops, which is what i did.

actually the installer doesn't copy any files off the cd. everything is included in the installer to run a full armada 2 installation (unlike earlier versions of fleet operations). that the installer still asks for the cd is just for legal reasons. the installer 'protection' can be circumvented with ease too. it's not our job to take care that you have a legal installation.
