First off I finally got 3.0.7 to work. My thanks go to the devs for getting it out so quickly
One problem though. After reinstalling and testing at various points I have discovered that I cannot get 3.0.7 to work with the mutimedia pack installed.
this is what I have done.
Installed 3.0.6 full
Installed multimedia pack
Installed 3.0.7 patch.
result game crashes
so.....I......
Installed 3.0.6
installed 3.0.7
installed mulite media pack
result: game crashes
so I
Installed 3.0.6
checked functionality and it played
Installed 3.0.7
checked functionality again and it played fine
Installed mutimedia pack.
Game crashes with a ntdll exception upon launch of instant action
I miss the music..its too quiet with out the music lol! but hey at least after unistalling and reinstalling in various config I got it to work. Never ever had crash problems with fleetops before except due to my medling.
Btw..all fresh clean installs and I cleaned my registry between re installing so I know thats not the issue.
I attached a error report to my post in the news release of "seven of three"
Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I miss the music!
and thumbs up so far 3.0.7 it plays great. tested with feds vs doms and dom bugs rammed the hell out of me constantly lol!(i thought that was gonna get changed?)

i just tested a preinstalled and a postinstalled media package and both worked for me. maybe you should try to redownload it

I dont how that would fix things as ive reinstalled 3.0 and 3.0.5a with the same media patch and everything works ok.....I have backups of 3.0 and 3.05a and the mutimedia pack. And I did reinstal those prior to the one last try with 3.0.7 and it all worked.....ahhhh ur saying redownload the 3.0.7 patch?

in endless wisdom i left it open what to redownload
you could try redownloading both. if that doesn't work either, you could always simply copy the sounds/music folder from an old installation where it worked into your 3.0.7 version

so I redownloaded the patch and applied it ....it worked fine....then added the media pack and still no luck...first time it crashed at startup with window blah about armadd stoped working.....then i just restarted and go past main screen then clicked launch and crashed again with the ntdll.dll error. I will redowload 3.0.6 and 3.0.7 and the mutimedia pack....and if that dont work ill try the other woraround u suggested.....or maybe ill try the workaround first....grrrrr uninstall yet again the reinstall.....endless causality loop im entrapped in now lol. maybe a miranda class will come out the sky and hit me on the head now.....oh great I just forgot I uninstalled the working version of 3.05a...grrrr
EDIT: I got everything to work finally. seems that the mutimedia patch was not fully installing the files...hence I had to re-run the instalation til it installed all the files...odd I wouldnt think that would make the game crash if the music wasent proper but whatever it works now so
