Can't start

hello

when i try to start it says

Graphics Initialization failed. No compatble Direct 3D8 hardware accelerator detected.

What does that mean? and is the mod playable with Linux Ubuntu 10.04? or wine?

Well i had the same exact problem, what i had to do was reinstall my card, meanining i had to reinstall my cd, then if i go to shutdown mode it will erase everytrhing so then i have to always reinstall, so try to only hibernate instead of shutdown it seem's with my system if you shutdown you lose all of the card, my system OPTIPLEX270 DELL 3G OF MEMORY 512MB GAME CARD OLDER MODEL, DELL WIDE SCREEN 1920X1080 AT 60 HTZ. Again try to reinstall, and only go to hibernate mode, if that doesnt work try system restore.

fleetops doesnt work natively in anything except windows.

so it doesnt work in ubuntu.

if you are lucky, it may work in wine, but there seem to be many many issues with fo in wine.

this game needs direct x, which can only be installed in windows.

if u are playing on a windows computer and you are getting that error then you should reinstall direct x.

the direct x website will tell you which version to download.
