Yea, we both have the same versions and everything and neither of us shows up in the LAN games.

Sounds like you both have firewalls that are preventing it  :sweatdrop:

yeah, as you start the game, windows will pop up with a firewall block.  minimize the game, and allow FO to be an exception.

we tried that, but now it says that we have different versions of the game :P

Hehe.  Well, one of you hasn't gotten the latest patch, or something.  Or has modified the game in some way.  You can't have any modded stuff in if you play with friends.  I have several "modding copies" of FO to try out things people have made, so that the "online" version isn't unaltered.

Just make sure you and your friend have the latest patch, and barring that, both of you can reinstall 3.1.0 and 3.1.1 to be sure. ^-^

Edit:  I see in your other thread you got it resolved. :sweatdrop:  Hurray!  :woot:

do you have hamachi installed? if so, disable the connection temporary and you should see it. adapters from virtual machines may cause similar issues.

Nope, I don't have Himachi, but thanks for the tips.
