I installed it along with the latest patch but noticed no shortcut anywhere. I checked the install folder and see no executable. So I assumed it was incorporated into the game automatically, but when I launched Armada II I found it to be unmodified. What am I missing?

There is am executable, it's in data in the program root. It normally makes a shortcut I thought? Anyway, it has nothing to do with armada 2. I.e. it's a seperate install.

the program should have made an entry in the start menu and on the desktop by default. if these dont exist then you can follow these instructions:
1) go to install folder. by default this should be C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada II Fleet Operations
2) right click the file FleetOps.exe
3) select Send To
4) Click Desktop (Create Shortcut)
now you will have a shortcut on your desktop.
if you installed fleetops to the same folder as armada 2 you will probably need to uninstall and reinstall both if u want both.
fleetops can be installed on its own, to install on its own u need the armada2 CD.
also the title of your post was rather rude and confrontational, swearing at the community and the devs in such an accusing way wont get responses from most people.

thread title edited.
you usually should have a shortcut in the start menu too. make sure that you install the full version of fleet operations (3.1.0 currently) and then the latest patch (3.1.2). a pre-installed unmodified star trek armada 2 is not necessary for installation.

After exploring all the files in the installer and finding no executable it was obvious the file I was linked to was not the right one. I found the right one, installed it, and played it for 12 hours straight. :p Will never go back to stock Armada II.
