infinite resources should be done away with completely i mean wheres the fun if you can just build loads of ship yards and then build endless supplies of ships or is it your afraid of the merciless borg ai lol

Don't count on it, FO is built around noob resources.

...because the AI doesn't have the same resource requirements as you do, and so can research much quicker (or whenever the AIP files dictate).

were talking about having infinite resources so cost doesnt matter

What more can I say: the AI does not obey the same rules that you do. I believe that extends to being able to research faster, building differently etc.
