3.2.7 Out of Sync

Hi All,


Please help: I with my frieds together play FO vie net. Yesterday with 327, the game was verry laggy. We + 3 meriless + 1 hard the players. This more many for game?

As every time, when you want to observe something, it doesn't happens... No OOS the hole week. But we've never done more then one game every evening. So the first game seems to be free of OOS ;)

But there is an other problem, i've detected this week, maby you can help me. The newest update (3.2.7) deleted the most of all my custom map's (in both folders). I tried to restore them, but it doesn't works. Not all maps were deleted, some of the older maps, some of the newer one. I have no clue what happend :( And I know some guys which have the same problem, but not all of them have lost the same maps...

Sounds typical, but that in and of itself is useful information :) . If it always happens in the second+ game (without quitting Fleet Ops), that's helpful.

Maps are stored in application data, and custom maps should be saved there as well :) If you are using windows 7 : %appdata%\star trek armada ii fleet operations\bzn

Yep, its always the second+ game.

And yeah, i know where the fo custom maps were saved, but as i told you, the most of them were deleted :(

Next OOS :/ I wasn't host and the one who was it, didn't understand what i want, as i told him, he should log with "dbg". But was an 4v4 (fed, dom, fed, borg vs rom, dom, fed, fed), and everyone has restartet fo and tungle before. In the moment of oos one borg send an cloaked stolen vessel in the enemy base, one fed build an repairship, the dom repairs an ship and I (fed) changed the special weapon automatic from red to green for an whole fleet of Defiants, and then change back to red for only 3 Defs of this fleet (one sec later it was oos).

Maby it helps...

And i have still the problem with the lost custom maps (and they are even not in the custom map folder...).

Just an update: We haven't fallen off the map, it's just we haven't had time for a game yet but we are still around and will hopefully have a report ready when/if it happens. It's good to see that someone else is keeping this alive in the interim and trying to solve the issue.

I've heard from some that they are only getting an OOS when Feds are in the game, specifically when building Torpedo turrets from Risner. Are you guys experiencing OOS with both avatars (don't worry about the AI), and are you building lots of Platforms and upgrading them into various turrets? :)

We generally do Mason Turrets, but Yeah, We build many torpedo turrets at a choke point usually. We will have to try it with Risner some time, and we use upgraded newtons to maintain them.

Sounds reasonable :). I expect that all Fed turrets and upgraded Newtons should generate an OOS from time to time, so the real trick would be to see if you can generate one without using Federation as a human-played faction.

We've tested it. No OOS without Turrets and Newtons. But Fed as AI Merciless cause OOS too. (Heared about a game 2 borgs (player) vs 2 feds (ai) with oos).

So thx for ur advice ;)

Interesting, thanks for the information :). Any idea in the tech progression when the Fed AI goes OOS? Aka, is it building Sovereigns, Remores, Defiants, Starfleet Command or what etc?
