Not sure what it is... but my game crashed and a thing popped up saying bug report... but I didn't read it fully unfortuenately. It has only happened once, this is what I remember:

Map Path to Power. Playing as Klingons. Lately, I've been playing in that map as Federation several times... has worked fine.

At the time it happened, I was against Federation AI. They were attacking my expansion. I was building a starbase, and I had several fleets. At the time, it was mostly Qawdujs, Kvorts, Kbeajqs, and Susas. I was against AI newtons, sabers, monsoons, novas, and intrepids. As far as I can tell... nothing else was going on significantly in the game. The battle was about a minute in when the crash happened.

The problem is, I already had an identical battle at my main base earlier to this one. With same ship classes, so there would have been the same specials happening.

Maybe it was just random. Anyways, I'll try it out again later and pay closer attention if it happens again maybe I can describe it better.

Hello. I don't know if it's a bug specifically but when part of a fleet ordered to move (and kill everything along the way) the Dominion Hyperspace Artillery doesn't seem to care what it aims at, and actually seems to target friendly ships over enemies. I've started calling it the Dominion Retard Cannon because of how many ships I've lost from it.

It would be nice if friendly ships automatically avoided the area of effect whenever an artillery goes to fire, I'm not always watching the battle going on and it's nice to look back and see that my fleet hasn't been obliterated by some Vorta's incompetence.

Forgive me if it's been mentioned before, I haven't had the time to read the entire thread, but a fix for this would be nice, I do like the Hyperspace Artillery.
On a related note, when ordered to attack a starbase (by actually clicking the starbase instead of an area near it) the artillery will move towards it, usually getting blown apart by either its own fire or the starbase's response.

you should control your hsa separately for best effect. only fire it when u can give it your undivided attention.

about the starbase thing, yes it will close in if you click an enemy unit., just click its weapon button, then click near the enemy starbase. or click the starbase to fire, then push stop.

welcome to the forums

Thanks, been a long time since I've been around any forums, they seem to be dying out.
I know there are easy ways to get around the HSA targeting problem, but it would be great if I didn't have to go around them. The biggest issue is allied ships mindlessly flying into the target area before I can clear them, so having them avoid it automatically would be pretty handy.

Are these issues caused by having the HSA at high special weapon autonomy?  Because if they are, you should definitely set it to low.

As far as I know the only way to make your ships avoid the area automatically would be to put a blocking trigger there, which would make the enemy avoid the area too.

Yeah, it was on high spec autonomy. Guess I'll just have to watch it more closely next time.

The map editor doesn't correctly create a map at all resolutions.  I'm running 1280x800 and all I get is a blank PNG file.

The Fed repair ship does no longer have weapons - but it acts like it has: if enemies appear, the repairship flys into "range" for shooting, but then, nothing happens ...

Set it to green alert and set it special weapons to high and movement to high.

Greetings!

I've applied the method explained in the "Armada2.exe technical side note (no-cd patches, virus alerts)" topic and the MOD runs perfectly.
But unlike its predecessor, when I try to load a savegame it crashes. The error report is attached below.

PS: This is the best Armada 2 MOD ever.

welcome to the forum sefert.

the picture you attached only has a little bit of the report, the whole report might be more helpful.

Yes, you have to post the actual crash log so they can look at it.
