Is this 4vs4 game possible to win?

I decided to try a instant action 4vs4 game with everyone on merciless, the teams were 4 borg vs all non-borg races with me playing the side of the non-borg in a modified nirvana 2 map so each team had about 1/2 the map with a no mans land in the center where the wormholes are.  Well I tried this a couple of times and each time we got screwed one way or the other.  My question is, has anyone ever tried something like this and won or is it simply not possible to win against 4 borg merciless when playing as nonborg?  This is only singleplayer btw, I'm sure 4 players who knew what they were doing could take on 4 borg merciless ai np online.

The Borg AI cheats worse than normal.  For instance, beyond the fact that it gets a serious build-time and price discount on merciless, it also doesn't have to build the connection node to make ships.  It builds one, and uses it like a shipyard to spam ships at you.

You can up your odds slightly by not building any sensor stations.  The AI puts special targetting priority on those, and will come in full force from all over to kill them...and then everything around them.

Just play Dominion and spam bombers. Preferably as Breen that way you get more powerful ones 
After a certain point you will just reach a critical mass and the only thing you will need to tech up to is their special weapon, and preferably the enhancements from the Ketracel White research facility.

hmmm im thinking no because at a certain point in the game it will crash because of to many ships lol.

i did a 2v2v2v2 , 2 of them borg  - the end result  the borg slaughtered all the other Ai's and me ;.;  sadly they came after me last for some reason, was it because i was playing romulan? who knows

Those Tavaras can kill any borg ship from a scout cube to a sphere all on its own.

A Tavara shouldn't be able to win against a cube. especially not with support of a diamond.

  But it actually CAN finish off a damaged one all by itself.

On the Nirvana II map, it IS possible to win.

just play as dominion and start building some Spacestations around the wormhole to defend it.

Then, as it was already said, build breen bombers en masse. also build some other ships from the heavy yard an then u can start. Order all your Forces to attack the space station of the enemy you choose an then... voila you win. takes a bit time but its possible.

i love that map always have huge battles i suggest the feds using a few simple tactics

1 at the start send both constructors to build a starbase either side of the wormhole and build a 3rd constructor and 8 miners while this is happening

2 use the 3rd constructor to build mining stations by each moon and as soon as 1 of your starbases by the wormhole is complete build a shipyard and spam a few sabres until u finish ur mining stations

3 now build both research stations then  starfleet command then the final shipyard

4 now just build as many ships as u can and leave them by the wormhole remember canaverals as sensor blackout is usefull against borg so is intrepids with tri cobalt torps

5 probably most important at every oppurtunity surround your wormhole with quantum turrets 30+ with a defensive fleet will take care of any threat without too much hassle

6 if u notice all sides seem to send out fleets at the same time use this to ur advantage let them send out fleets and fight it out then in the calm b4 each fleet attack 1 of the borg with a large fleet u should eliminate that player then repeat it will take a while but it is winnable
