You consider Janeway a worse captain than Riker? She didn't lose a Galaxy to a scoutship by trying to outrun it rather than kill it. Ships with Riker commanding are the ones with the most chance of getting beat up by ships much weaker than them.

You're right with the loss of the Enterprise being very retarded, but that was the fault of the writers (as the whole so-called movie) and I still think that if Generations would have been written logical in only one single point, Riker wouldn't be "guilty" for this.

Another movie like Star Trek XI, compared to it, the first two seasons of enterprise where brilliant.

The problem is that Generations was written by a TV-writing team only for the sake of bringing Kirk and Picard together on the big screen, and the problem is: The movie has no story. All people are talking abut how getting into the nexus is possible and impossible half of the film, Data gets emotions which is executed like Data is a walking running gag and nobody really cares, Kirk is in the nexus which brings anyone to where he WANTS to be but instead of the Enterprise's bridge, Kirk is somewhere on where he would die of being bored and the Enterprise D is destroyed just to force the writers of the next movie to get a new Enterprise o.O

there is a very good review of that movie on the website of "confused Matthew". He reviewed first contact, insurrection and nemesis as well, but these reviews are on youtube.

If I was actually in the Star Trek Universe then I don't think there could be many situations worse than being stuck in the same room as Kai Winn for any length of time, especially if it turned out to be that the door was locked tight.

Waking up to see that JJ Abrams is the new director of the series and that they are redoing Khan which is something that should NEVER be done...

Probably.  Then again, I was pessimistic about the last movie (not as pessimistic as Bernd, of course) and - well, what do y'know - the last movie pretty much rocked.  Not classic Trek, but it's not like we're getting any more classic Trek anyway.  At least the new stuff is good new stuff.

To undeline my image:

If Startrek (FTL) was possible because there was no causality, uniqueness and continuity in the world.
