Was Star Trek the first show to use 'logic lacking in logic' on a large scale or is it just one of the better known ones?

I think HAL 9000 was the first , but followed shortly by Star trek TOS.
TOS is what gave it fame though.

Granted, but irrelevant. There's no Hal or analogue to that character in the short story.
