Side note:

In hind sight its probably not a good idea to go swimming in a warp core...

The thing's gonna be a flop cause no one will take it seriously because of 1 simple reason: Simon Pegg, a very good comedian, is playing a serious role as Scotty. But, then again, he may be the comic relief.  I'd go with the latter.

I don't know how it will be. All I can say is there are some unexplained events.

I have looked at trailers before and thought they gave a good over all feel of the movie.... They don't.

Trailer non-scents stung to gather to sell tickets and many times no reflect to movie authentically at all.

its completely messing up everything.

so: 1st cpt of enterprise was not kirk. i dont think that spoc lived on earth during his young years.
concerning the ship build in the backround: i thought "sT enterprise" wanted to tell us that the NX enterprise was the first ship?

i dont know where this shall lead to. i think it will be real crap. nemesis was a good end to me. next film had to be a ds9 themed, or voyager themed. not this "okay we cant get any more futuristic, so lets go back as far as possible"

It's screwing with time travel; canon will be used but not prescribed to for everything  :whistling:

If you watch the preview he assumes command may be a formal captain had not yet bean assigned or Pike was hurt/indisposed or some thing.

Isn't it possible we could blame any canon screw-ups on the Temporal Cold War from Enterprise?

No, because that was supposed to take place before Kirk etc within the SAME timeline... whereas this movie takes place inside a different timeline. Still, time is dependent on the observer, so what does it really matter  :sweatdrop:

Temporal cold war. Temporal as in time, time as in happens in multiple timezones, many of which were not shown.

It gives you something to blame, from an in-universe sense (and makes it easier to ignore since you won't be likely to focus on it if you can blame it on something).

Ok, think of this movie as a parallel universe then, created when someone screwed up the timeline: budding
