Star Trek the Expierience closure!!!!!

On September 1st, 2008, ST: The Expierience is closing. The place with the Klingon Encounter, the Borg Invasion 4D, Quarks Bar & Restaurant, and a bunch of other DS9 promenade shops. The reason  they're closing is that their contract with the Hilton ends and the Hilton wants to tripple the rent. Lots of poeple go there, and lots of poeple are mad about this!!!  >:(

So Boycott the Hilton! Call them and give them hell!!!

Maybe we can get them to stop this madness!!!

they can't do this...its...its....just not right!  hurry up with that contact info, but it probably won't do any good.

hopefully, when they start to hemorrhage money due to this, they will crawl back to the Experience peoples and beg them to come back.

lol i was watching that and thinking "wow i missed out there, it was much better than the one we had in London", then Janeway got to ultimate Cheesey line "Congratulations you resisted the borg with Human spirit" - yeah you just killed it for me...

Same thing here, I SOOO wanted to go to it, especially how u get to "go" on a space station and all that, until Janeway said the ULTIMATE cheesy line. It was...pretty bad. Still wish it wasn't getting closed down.

Hey why not have them bring it to Houston there is the Astro Dome  that is vacant  it is round  and big enough to  dress up like a space station!!

That's not cheesy!  What else should she have said? Star Trek is a moralistic show. They have to through in some moralistic line or poeple won't buy it being Star Trek.

If they want to tripple the rent it means just that: They want them to leave. I don't know the reasons but if this is not going to work they will find another way.
On the other hand... Perhaps this is just a try to hype The Experience and surf on the wave of STO, Las Vegas and Star Trek XI. I for myself didn't know anything about The Experience but when I first saw it (on the web) for 3 weeks I was so keen on the Warpcore Breach xD (I still am and I'd love to visit that place if I just had the chance... )

lol the Hilton do have a rep to preserve tho and hundreads of trekkies converging on it everyday is going to kill that rep lol, they need to look like they are bullying the nerds like all the other popular people but sonn will go back to letting us in.
