Hey guys... I'm a person who plays Dominion Wars. One of few 3D games I have. I was wondering who else has it, an if there are mods of it out there. Or modding tools, those I like too.

I have it too, but haven't played it in years. The big stability problems might also have something to do with it... :(

I think that there there is a modding tool shipped with the Dominion Wars (if you have the American version). I think that with it you could create your own starships.

I used to play Dominion Wars a long time ago, but as many people will point out it has tons of technical issues that make it unplayable most of the time. I was able to beat the Dominion campaign on it but sadly the Federation one can't be finished because of glitches. I found it rather fun anyway though, despite the fact it came off as a child's version of Armada.

I've got it but have never been able to play it (Darn Microsoft and their flawed backward compatibility)...  It was meant for Windows 98 or ME I think and no matter what I try in XP, I can't get it to work properly, it either doesn't work or lags sooo slow, it's just unplayable.  Using an older OS in Virtual PC isn't an option either since it emulates hardware that was outdated years before VPC was programmed, would be nice if it emulated more modern and powerful hardware or gave you the option to go with more powerful stuff.

If I remember right, you were able to use starships created using Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II in Dominion Wars, but you had to basically overwrite an original ship (they could have made a few empty ship slots for that, but some people don't think things through too well i guess).  I don't know if overwriting was permanent or not.

i still have it somewhere but i couldnt get it to run either on my newer computer.  i actually enjoyed it alot despite some of the flaws.  i was one of the lucky ones that didnt really experience any technical issues, but ive been lucky like that for ever.  ill read boards and boards of glitches ans issues and wont see them in most of my games.

I was wonderin if a Win98 can handle having a gig of RAM and a 1ghz processor. Is it possible? ???

I was thinking of these stats for a customized Win98

1GB RAM
512 MB 3D Graphic/Video Card
1GHz Processor
256 MB Harddrive
1x CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM Drive
1x Floppy Drive

18' Monitor with 1024x768 pixel display
