i dont know.. i didnt like the jumping out of the pod and just held onto the edge of a cliff. that is done so much in films these days. and why does someone have a motorbike in the future?

Lin and Pegg have both given interviews where they state they're not too happy with the first trailer. Pegg asked Trek fans to "Hang in there".

Lin has also talked about Krall (the main antagonist) having a distinct philosophy, and wanting to challenge the Federation on things like "they have no money, how do they live?" and "how do they compete?". I'm hoping that we don't see some sort of ersatz or straw-man representation of the UFP's values, and that the victory comes from holding to them rather than essentially proving Krall right.

Edit: I have to say, though, I felt like Adams' bowl of petunias when I first saw it: "Oh no, not again."
