ST XI phasers

Shipboard phasers or hand phasers?

Well they are fairly close to how phasers performed in TOS, but look *much* better. I think they are perfect.
I ticked "who cares" because I don't love them, I prefer TNG-era sustained phaser beam, but they fit the timeframe well. What I don't like as much is the hand phasers, it looks too star warsy to me, or even worse, nemesisy. I hate the hand held weapon sfx in that film. Disgustingly generic.

oops, shudda specified...I ment hand held phasers, which in my opinion have to shoot lasers, or vaporize stuff to be called phasers.  these looked, acted like, and sounded like Starwars blasters

Shipboard was cool, I liked the idea of pulse based weapons =3. The handheld ones were just trying to look cool, that said, I enjoyed them.

They're acceptable... both them (Ships Weapons and Hand Held)...
And think of the later Pulserifles... they are still called phaserrifles and not something else, so it wouldn't be hard to think "Normale Type 2 Phasers could also fire Pulses and not just beams"
