I would give the left counterpart of a certain part of my anatomy to see that completed.
I've found that a lot these days; that games are not really appealing to me anywhere as near as independent mod efforts are. More creativity and determination to make a good game I think, rather than fighting against a publisher who wants it released yesterday and purely to make bundles of cash (and don't forget the launch day DLC and inevitable expansion packs, sequels, prequels ad nauseum)

If it's not too much trouble to port FO models in the GalCiv engine I might do it, with their permission of course.

It's part of the reason why I've kept Sigma as a mod for FO and why I'm only publishing only my iPhone games. I don't want a big publisher sticking their fingers in my soup.

have you considered steam? personally I hate steam, but if you're prepared to accept the ugly practices of apple and its app store for ios, then steam isn't much worse.

Also, blame the crappiness of Legacy on the fact that they had to get it out before the end of the 40th anniv. of Star Trek. If they had one more year to get it done it would have been an awesome game.
Anyways here is my list of must play Trek games.
Birth of the Federation
Starfleet Academy(with Chekov's Secrete Missions expansion)
Klingon Academy(the community made Vista/7 patch is a must)
all Starfleet Command games(big learning curve at first)
Armada I & II ofcourse
Bridge Commander(mods, mods, mods, mods, mods)
Will be playing next year...
Star Trek Co-op(PC version)
Excalibur(created by some former Bridge Commander modding gods aswell as other community members/will be ship v ship at first but will have person v person down the road)

I guarantee you it will be more than a year before that's finished, probably a year and a half if they move like lightening. In reality it will probably be 2.5-3 years.

So before checking back in here, i totally tried legacy.
So without patches, a bare install of legacy...The 4th mission in the campaign is nearly impossible, after two tries i just got too frustrated and stopped. The graphics are awful and you cant use the resolution native to your monitor, or only if you have an average monitor, but maybe this is my problem with the super widescreen 1366x768 monitor i have.
Now regreting not looking at this earlier today, i must say i will try SFC3, because i need a super duper break from CSGO and Planetside 2. Thanks for chiming in everyone

focus on having at least 1 yorktown for that mission. 2 is better. it costs of lot of money so early on, but it really makes station smashing easier. just focus on the stations.
