wow i was prepared not to like this new star trek movie with the ship having funny looking nacells and  all but wow that looks really good

i do not like the ship (yet), however everything else looks very good to me.  i am looking forward to see this new approach

well i dont really like the ship either but the rest of it looks so good that i will overlook the ship for now. maybe it will grow on me.

This film can only do good for Star Trek. JJ Abrams is a good director and if nothing else the effects and fights will be top notch which means ---> more people to see the movie ----> maybe a new ST series

The trailer looks good thus far, Im just a little pissed they went into the past instead of the future.

i guess thats because more people, even not related much to star trek, do know tos. you atleast get some future spock (the bait for the real trekkies), though i don't know how good that performance of him will be and how it will be recepted in terms of story...

i like the technology style. it looks modern, but still has some TOS flair. Some of the combat scenes seem a bit "untreky" to me.. but well you need to have some heavy action for modern cinema (sadly  )

I simply love it... the design (I really love the new Enterprise!), the new actors, the whole thing... and I think Doca is right, this film shall bring new life to trek with new fans and so on... and most of the people do know how kirk was and spock... in my opinion it was a wise choice to go back to the beginning and trimming it for the 21st Century to get more people into "Mhm... if that is an alternate World... how does this supposed to be?" and bang, they go and get all DVDs and watch them, learning about Trek and become 'The Next Generation' of Fans...

they could of done without that "fire everything"  from nemo.  sure the trailer is a bit of a spoiler and thats fine but its sooo shinzon like  thought they would avoid that comparison.
