Installing Elite Force

Has anyone here tried to install Elite Force onto a Win7 64 bit computer? If you did, and suceeded, could you tell me how?  Each time I try, the loader doesn't load past the installshield thing. Or do I just need to be patient?

Install it under a VM if you are having problems.  Both VMware and VirtualBox support 3d acceleration if you get an up-to-date version.  If you have a modernish processor with virtualization then the impact of running under a VM is a lot less.

As EF is a very old game i think it will run quite well.

The game runs fine (as it turns out, you can actually run it off the disc! ). In fact, it actually runs better than it did on my XP .

dont use the auto run but the setup.exe, I installed it like that I think

Should I run it as admin, in compatibility mode, etc?

Uuugh, I think my computer thinks that it needs to install the installer to the HD.
