German to English help!!!

Ok, so I was stumbling around the interwebs as we all do from time to time when we are bored.  I found this on moddb http://st-defender.de/  WTF is it?  A mod for a game, some sort of written episodes?  I can't make heads or tails of the site navigation because it is a. in German, and b. I'm being lazy at the moment and don't want to try making sense of it.  Normally, most mods don't pique my interest cause about 96% of them never get finished.  This one did for two reasons.  First, it seems to be DS-9 based from the main picture; with the uniforms, Cardassians, Bajorans, Trills, a black Cmdr, etc.  I mean, it really strikes me as a DS-9 facsimile.  Second, one of the Vulcan or Romulan guys looks like/possibly is Seth Green. 

Please....someone tell me WTF this is?!?

Seems like a fanfic to me. A bit too large for me to translate.

While there is not really a "What this is:" point anywhere on this site I would agree it is a fanfic and the Crew Pics are just that... some nice pictures trekified^^

lol, I use chrome and as soon as i went to that page my browser offered to translate it for me.    worked pretty well too.

I used Win Explorer's translate function (bing), and it worked well enough. Some grammatical flaws (My name is Captain Lairis Ilana. It is an honor to welcome you on board me.  ) but yeah I'm prettty sure it's a fanfic.

I wonder... with all the interest in Germany lately (the spelling of the Teutoburg, GameStar magazine, German websites, ...), will we soon have threads like "Help! Need German language skills to locate FO headquarters and retrieve FO 4.0!!1"

Ooh. Neat. It actually looks kinda interesting. Especially the idea of a Bajoran captain (yeah, it was kind of already done with Kira but she was only second in command and still part of the Bajoran military). The pictures there are also very pretty. I have to wonder if those are also by the site's author; it's not quite clear.

I've got the Google Toolbar in IE and it gives me a translation which is, oh, 80-90%. I'll have to read some of these.
