The entire team that produced Star Trek Legacy should be hanging their heads in shame.

The game Nexus the Jupiter Incident can be bought on steam for 10 $ if I'm not mistaken

legacy had a lot of potential, but the developers made a hash of it,but the mods have made it more bareable and in places quite enjoyable

same cud be said for stargate alliance that ended up on scrapheap due to funds and if they had that budget that wudve bin amazing to play that game, but win some lose some,

It does look pretty impressive even by today standards :) and remember, Nexus is an OLD game :D. You can pick it up off Steam but I'd be more inclined to hold out for a second hand hard copy. You could get a copy in any decent 2nd hand store (there's one in the local CEX trading store in town right now) or off the internet (ebay et all)

Nexus' ship control is somewhat of a strange thing. It's no direct control...you order the ship to attack the other ship and it goes and attacks the other ship while you watch the scene. It's really nice to watch though, but the lack of that self-control feeling bores me at some point. They should find a way to directly control your ships. I'm going to try this.

The only actual control you don't have over the ships is movement control. You can't tell the ship to move at a location given by you on her own. I think this is an engine limitation and I dunno if it can be corrected at all. However, you can control the way a ship behaves in battle. You can use the commands like approach, run away, attack device, drain shield, destroy hull and attack pattern delta. The use of these do give a small sense of control over the ships.

Hey firewarrior! can you convert those Sovy, Galaxy, and Nebula models (and textures). I love those lightmaps and details. :D

I'm affraid not. As far as I know, there isn't so far a  converter that can transform  .tex files into something usable. For the meshes however, there's a plugin for ms3d that allows importing of the .msh files but without the textures it won't do you much good.
