Hey guys. I just wanted to post my ship's specs and it's history somewhere since I was thinking about soon making it an actual FO special ship.
All are also welcome to post their own ship specs and background if they want.

USS Sovereign NCC-73811
Experimental Battleship (Sovereign Regal Refit)/ Type 2 Exploration Vessel
-12 Saucer Section Phaser banks (6 Ventral, 6 Dorsal. All Type IX)
-1 Type XII Phaser Bank (Replaces Engineering phaser
located on the Ventral Section of the Engineering Hull)
-4 Type IX Phaser Strips (2 on each warp Nacelle Pylon)
-1 Quantum Torpedo Turret (fires 4 torpedoes in a rapid manner)
-4 Photon Torpedo Launchers
-6 Aft Photon Torpedo Launchers
-Primary and Secondary shields (total Shield Capacity being 127%)
History:
The USS Sovereign was built at the San Francisco Fleet Yards and launched in 2368.
It's original Shakedown cruise was an utter disaster after experimenting a ship-wide power drain which lead to it's mothballing some time later.
Command Crew
* Commanding Officer
o Captain Jonathan Soto
* First Officer/Executive Officer
o Commander Sebastian Gutierrez
* Second Officer/Operations Officer/Science Officer
o Lieutenant Miguel Diaz
* Chief Engineer
o Lieutenant Commander Brady Burton
* Tactical Officer/security chief
o Lieutenant Commander Jennifer Sciully
* Chief Medical Officer
o Commander Amanda Sheryon
* Counselor
o Commander Natalie Jane Nardi
* Conn
o Lieutenant Commander George McKnight
Most of the Sovereign's crew were temporarily reassigned to the USS Dauntless for the Duration of the Dominion War. During the final phase of Operation Return, the Dauntless' Captain was severally injured, and Commander Gutierrez assumed command of the Dauntless for the duration of the battle.
After the Dominion War had ended, the only two remaining senior staff of the Sovereign serving aboard the Dauntless where Commander Gutierrez and Commander Sheryon.
However, the Sovereign was reactivated in order to investigate the Vesuvi incident and Cmdr. Gutierrez was given command of the ship, as well as a promotion to captain.
After the Vesuvi incident passed, the Sovereign's original crew where recalled. Lt. Cmdr. McKnight was promoted to Commander and became the Sovereign's First Officer. Lt. Kell Perim was transferred from the Enterprise-E to the Sovereign and took over the helm.
The Sovereign was then assigned to the Maelstrom region, where Starfleet was setting up a permanent base of operations if the Cardassians should ever attempt to invade again.

Please do! This is one of the things STO was good for, having every single player make their own custom ship (although canonically, the only unique ships where Hero ships, NXs and refits.)

Are you making these?

Ok. My idea is inspired from STO, since my ship is USS Trion
Ok, I have yet to think of what a normal Trion class would be, but here are two hero refits for it.
USS Trion NCC-421373 - Reconnaissance refit - Hero Ship
Trion Class
51 offensive value
42 defensive value
30 system value
*1300 Special Energy*
Type IX Phasers x3
Quantum Torpedoe Laucher x2
Tricobalt Torpedo Launcher x1
Plamsa Induction Coil (Passvie) - Phasers 18% chance to cause 30 plasma damage over 13 seconds.
Heavy Tricobalt Device Launcher (Passive) - 13% chance to fire a Heavy Tricobalt Torpedo inflicting massive area of effect damage.
Phaser Subsystem Targeting (Special) - Phasers disable a random subsytem on target *130 special energy cost*
And...
USS Trion NCC-421373 - Deep Space refit - Hero Ship
Trion Class
42 offensive value
51 defensive value
30 system value
*1300 Special Energy*
Type IX Phasers x3
Quantum Torpedo Launcher x2
Tricobalt Torpedo Launcher x1
Plamsa Induction Coil (Passvie) - Phasers 18% chance to cause 30 plasma damage over 13 seconds.
Resilient Shield Array (Passive) - Reduces Beam weapon damage by 15% and cancels out shield breaking weapons.
Phaser Subsystem Targeting (Special) - Phasers disable a random subsytem on target *130 special energy cost*
What do you think?
BTW, I thought these up for fun. I'm no modder

tyler you seem to have put a lot of thought into your ship, but i have several questions
firstly i like the idea of veteran galaxies being refitted to fire quantums
1) does it still have the shield-ignoring quantums from your sig picture?
2) what are your pulse phasers like, are they fixed like the defiant or turret mounted and independently targeted? if they are fixed then it would be very hard to aim them as they are so spread out around the ship. i think they would work good as turrets, similar to the turret cannon on the ent-e in elite force 2.
3) why metaphasic shields? they seem only useful for hiding in stars, and crusher was able to modify the ent-d to have metaphasic shields in very short time, so arent most ships capable of using them?

1) The torps are based on the BC version of the ship, which doesn't have that ability. I'd keep only the Photons capable of that (need something to keep the Photons useful).
2) Yes, that sounds good. Turrets, though with their own specific area of focus based on where they are.
3) Metaphasic shields can work for places that have similar conditions to the corona, Geordi (Crusher's a doctor) used it to destroy a Borg ship, but could have been using a pre-installed version of the shields. Once they work, there's nothing to stop other ships being refitted with them.
I ignored the I Borg example because the shields hadn't even been developed yet.

sounds good
on point 3)
when i mentioned crusher i merely meant that she gave the order to use the highly experimental shields.
in i borg its possible they were hiding higher up in the corona where normal shields could protect them.

Here's a bit more to add to the Sovereign's history:
----------------------
Stardate: 52432.9
Commander McKnight is temporarily given command of the USS Bellerophon (Intrepid Class, TDS Refit) to investigate strange readings in the Vesuvi System.
Commander Nardi is given temporary command of the USS Andromeda (Luna Class, Mercury Refit) to settle a Mining dispute between the Klingons and the Andorians.
Meanwhile, Starfleet continues to construct a base of operations at Starbase 94 in order to conduct numerous scientific, military and medical as well as diplomatic activities in the Maelstrom region and Capt. Gutierrez is given the task of overseeing and commanding the constructions.

I'd still stick to the NEF. But thanks for the idea anyway.
