Just wondering which modern version of the Miranda Class people like more, the Miranda-II Class or the Saratoga Class? I think the Saratoga is easier on the eyes.

Miranda-II: In game
Saratoga: http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Saratoga_class_Battlecruiser;96944

This is just a curious question, nothing more.

It's always something more! And the Soyuz class isn't that special ;)

Who mentioned the Soyuz Class?

Me, just now. The Saratoga is sort of a nerfed Miranda imo, so I nominated the cooler Soyuz class.

The Saratoga supposed to be a next version of the Miranda, the Soyuz just confuses me. It's a weird Miranda refit.

I thought the Saratoga (USS?) was a Miranda class without the torpedo roll-bar?

It is, but the Saratoga in this thread is the Saratoga Class. It's a fan-made ship with the same relation to the Sovereign as the Miranda has to the Constitution.

Follow the link, it's on there.

o.O  but, then its not a modern miranda, it's a Saratoga, but, its like an updated miranda, but its not...but....

this is pretty confusing

KITBAAAAAAAAA....it's okay =/.

Sovereign -> This thing.
Galaxy -> Nebula
Constitution -> Miranda

=/. I guess I don't like it in concept, but it's neat...sorta.

its ugly and just a kitbash... The FLOPs one is much better as it keeps the charater of the original ship but just updates it... This looses the character of the original and just makes it look like a sovie without the secondary hull...

Streamlined ship that fits with the Sovereign isn't as good as a boxey, Klingon-looking ship that shows less grace than DS9? Interesting. The Saragota actually looks like a Starfleet ship, at least.

As for ugly and kitbash, the same goes for most of the Federation Fleet.

I don't really see too much of the Miranda II in flops to be honest, I always play for real and usually don't bother with mixed tech. But it is a lame kitbash, a stylish one I'll give you that but...eh, why not just make a smaller version? I mean with the Sovereign, it's not like it doesn't have the Volume.
