Favourite EF2 weapon

What is your favourite Elite Force II weapon? If you have a runner-up, feel free to mention it, few people have a single favourite of anything.

Mine would have to be the original (and seemingly stronger) Compression Rifle, followed by the Idryll Staff. I've played through almost the whole game using those 2 weapons, only using others during ammo shortages.

I've personally found the hand phaser indespensible both in multiplayer and campaign. Auto recharge beam weapon? WANT.

Personally, my favorite was the enhanced compression rifle, and I tended to prefer the Starfleet weapons over the alien ones. The Attrexian arc launcher made a really good EOF weapon. I liked the pulse launcher too, although the whole "laser targeting" mode sucked.

the weapon that dissapointed me most was the quantum burst. It didnt have the same powerfull feeling as the EF1 counterpart.

the romulan xrad was my favourite, even though it was so impractical in normal use, it was awesome for doing huge damage to the last bosses.

the batleth was fun to use to massacre those holo roms.

then the assault rifle (behaved as a shotgun) which was actually quite useful, i used it a lot againt the little buggers that used to rush up to you, ie get in range and let u use an effective and cost efficient (in energy) weapon on them.

i used it stunning was helpful, stun, then shotgun to the face but it wasnt my favourite. the poll was which is favourite, not which do u use most. xrad got used very little, but was still my favourite.

Nothing beats shooting people in the back with the charged up Romulan Disruptor.

Compression Rifle followed by the Shotgun. They were the most useful weapons around, along with the standard phaser due to it's auto-recharge.

I got my hands on a copy of EF2 today. Encountered a strange problem: The ingame video sequences do not have speech. Do you folks have an idea what the problem may be?
