acording to verison it was alzheiner's and nomana that he died of.

I do offer my dearest condolences. I will miss him dearly. You know, I picked up a little bit of a Scottish accent from his character, so I owe him the gratitude of offering my dearest sympathies, even though Doohan himself really didn't speak with one. Again, my dearest condolences.
