The guys at MSFC have a thread with nice Star Trek CGI videos, and this one was there, so thought I'd post it here :). In my opinion it's a darn neat video - even the music is quite powerful.

the first bit is from Halo2 and the second is from mass effect 1 or 2.

Fantastic view of the Ambassador love how they fired up her engines. Finally some more coverage and spotlight on a ship that well really has been forgotten. Entrprise-c, and Excalibur so far are the only two ive seen? and there have been more, but these two are the only ones i know of that have gotten any mention at all.

the gandhi, valdemar, adelphi and exeter are not canon as ambas class, only canon confirmed as existing.

most of this evidence comes from the star trek encyclopedia, which isnt canon. i own several copies and i think its a nice book, but not worthy as a canon source. memory alpha is better in many aspects.

The USS Zhukov NCC-26136/62136 is a canon Ambassador, though. It was in Data's Day.

i deliberately left alone the ones that are canon ambas, like zhukov. my list was: gandhi, valdemar, adelphi and exeter

which are named in canon, but never shown or given a class.

the others are all canon as both.

Very nice. Very well choreographed.

At least part of the music is taken from one of the Halo games, that might have something to do with it.

At least? You could have played "Shake That Ass Bitch" Over That video and it would still be insanely good (no offence to the fans of shaken asses).  I wonder if that vid was a one-timer, or they'll do a follow-up?  I could see them doing it as a two-parter, 'Birth & Death.'

True.

My "at least" was actually in reference to the actual music bits; I only recognized one snippit as being from one of the Halo games, 2 I think. Halo music always increases the awesomeness of everything by a factor of 10, so it only adds to the already established epic-ness of the video.

That sounds like a fun experiment.  The most inappropriate thing I could even think of was grandma's funeral, but let's be honest, hearing that guitar rift as they lowered the casket would be pretty epic.
