A knife amnisty is when the police are like "okay, you've all got loads of knives. We're going to set up a table, turn our backs for a while, and when we look round, there better be a table full of 'em!" They did it wit guns a while back, but i doubt anyone hands in their weapons...

I remember this, I think it actually was a knife amnesty, and someone handed in the aforementioned Klingon weapon. The police said that it was very worrying because a  replica Bat'leth is actually very dangerous. In other words, warriors only  :D

I wonder if anyone is actually trained in the use of a weapon-grade bat'leth...

I find it funny that there is a weapon smith who makes them;

There was a gun Amnesty here. Over 300 weapons were handed in, and only 1 million residents call my city (Edmonton) home. Among said weapons, was a fully automatic MP 44 in decent condition. The News toted it as a 'Nazi Assault Rifle' even if that is the truth, it's a pretty charged statement. Also turned in were several G3's (HK91's) an AK 47, several dozen high caliber revolves, and the ususal motley assortment of .38, .22 and 9mm weapons.

During the last gun amesty here, some dude somewhere handed in an RPG! Apparently it was a WWII momento. :lol:

I'm not suprised that someone made one. If you actually look at it, its quite a simple design; all you have to do is make the blade and then wrap some tape around some bits.

I agree though, it is cool.  B)

erm... i thought rpg's were developed in the late 50s early 60s.
anyway more to the point, the gangs round my area (walthamstow lol not to far from ya rhaz :D), dont want to hand in any of their weapons. there have been a few amnesties in the local area, but nothing handed in (of an note anyway).

In truth the youngsters around where I live are more interested in guns. Just recently an 11 year old kid was shot dead in my city, those of you in the UK will know about that. Sorry to depress the mood, but it has to be acknowledged that there are viscious weapons in the hands of an underclass of society who don't have feelings like the rest of us. Someone needs to find out where these guns are coming from. I'd bet on Russia and Eastern Europe as a first guess. Arms dealing has resurged lately in the old Soviet bloc, but then again they could be from anywhere on the planet.
