Anyone remember EGA Trek?

What's your favourite episode? How is romulan ale brewed? - Star Trek in general :-)

Hahaha....just thought I'd ask and see if anyone else was as nerdy as me from childhood to adulthood. :-p

For those of you "young-ins" out there, check it out. :-p

Judging from the screenshot... could that be an early DOS based predecessor of WinTrek?

WinTrek for Windows 3.1 was the first version I came in contact with back in the time. :)

I VAGUELY remember Win-Trek, but I think I only played it once because I couldn't quite grasp the controls.  I think I was like 10 or 12....I was a pretty dumb kid. lol

Yeah, I checked it out a bit ago....Win-Trek looks just like EGA Trek w/ a better GUI

I played EGA Trek when I was little. I called it "Eggah" Trek.
I figured it out enough to play it for a while but I never won.
Sigh. . . nostalgia. . .

Upon making this thread, I downloaded it and promptly fired up Dosbox.  EGA Trek is actually pretty easy to beat on all difficulties except 5 or Admiral or whatever its called.  1-4 there's a set amount of enemies on the board, then you have to have them all killed by a certain stardate.  On the last difficulty, new baddies reappear  every so often and you still have the stardate limit.  I think I'm gonna play the hardest difficulty now. ;)  If you guys don't hear from me for a few days please call 911 :-p
