All but DS9 will start streaming on July 1st and then DS9 starting Oct 1st. TOS and ENT will be in HD(most likely TOS-R). Its currently a two year deal to be US only between CBS/Paramount and Netflix that im sure will be extended.

us only, like usual. once again the force the rest of the world to pirate their shows, then cry and whine when we do.

If I remember correctly, European copyright/licensing law is slightly different than US law sometimes causing issues.

Obviously as I said about the STO canon 1701-F sweepstakes(and as with Hulu aswell) blame the laws of your land as they are preventing you from having the same access as us. I thought you already knew this Myles?

Speaking of which....  They said they would release the results on the 1st, and now its the 11th...  Still no news...  That kinda ticks me off.  I was looking forward to seeing what they chose and its more than a week after they said they would announce the winner....... :hmmm:

if only it was that simple. the laws arent as different as you believe. we also have tv content provided for free/cost over the internet here, british stuff, which isnt available to people around the world. which i think is equally as wrong as stuff from other countries not being available here.

the problem is that american tv producers/executives only think about the american audience, they dont even consider that there is a world of people watching. the perfect example is with ratings, they only consider american ratings, despite some shows having vast international audiences.

the decision makers havnt caught up with the international nature of media. especially since the internet jumped into the arena.

i think mgm were mistaken to offer episodes of stargate universe on hulu for free, it eroded the tv audience, the only audience syfy cared about. syfy made no money from hulu watchers. or itunes paying viewers, as mgm had direct deals with hulu and apple. i like the idea of it, but as long as the only way to get enough money to make a serial tv show is a tv network, you have to help them sell adverts.
