im curious to know what work ppl do for a living on these forums.

1) State what you do.
2) Where you do it.
3) What your job entails.
4) Your Qualification.

As for me:
1) Im a electrical engineer. (light current mainly).

2) currently working at University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. (working on the control and measurement systems for a pilot hybrid solar/wind energy project).

3) job entails programming Micro-Controllers (System on a Chip device) in C and Assembler. I also design software in C# to interface with hardware like micro-controllers. I also design almost everything related to electricity from pulse-width-modulated Sine wave generators, to UPS devices, to anything requiring automation. Im specialized in control systems and automation.

4) I have BTech in Electrical Engineering(Mathematics 3 was a bit of a bastard), and plan on doing my Masters shortly.

anyone else?

dont have any real formal qualifications, ive never been one for the order of things as it never fits with my thinking and style, so im suspicious of everything and everyone. an oddball. truth seeker is not an accurate thing to say because truth is a 2 faced issue. currently reading up, studying everything and anything on the New world order for quite a while since 9/11 and since playing assassin's creed 2 a few weeks back, its made me even more curious for Q&A to our origins and control over the population, why rules exist and if certain groups recruit terrorists or murderers to commit these crimes so the population runs scared for protection and so they run to the same people who set the idea up.

well thats what i have been doing for a long time, it is also interesting because i also think of the future, its effects, how everything will work, any other major atrocities that may come about for control and it's not just star trek, but a whole lot of other shows i watch when it comes time for space travel and alien contact and how will our race cope.

as for my job, i wont say. but you got the questions on stating what i do and qualifications, so that should satisfy the topic.

1] Modder/Mod Tester
2] Home
3] Trying to satisfy my ever growing desire for a better game with better modifications. As well as others desire for new material.
4] Years of modding experience (3-4 years to be exact). And great familiarity with the code.

What else am I? Just a huge Star Trek fan that believes that one day Star Trek will be our future. :)

1337_64M3R i take it that you're still in high school then... what subjects you taking at high school? what do you want to study at university after high school?

Well, I'm taking Geometry, Computer Programming (by choice). And a few other courses that is required. After high school, programming and computer graphics is one field I'd want. Also Computer Hardware and electronics (so that I can do either hardware or software business).

well why dont you look into electrical engineering 1337_64M3R, its got both hardware and software although it is more hardware focused. :)

I was thinking of having that as a failsafe field if computer field work doesn't consider me.

You sound like a conspiracy theorist!

This thread sounds a lot like a line in a movie I once saw....."Who is your daddy and what does he do?!" lol.

1) Market research
2) Philadelphia area, PA
3) Get product and sales data to report back to my company so they can make changes in product design and flow......in a nutshell
4) Hmmm, not sure I am qualified. :-p  I very techie.  Have over half my credits in my computer science degree....don't know when I'll get to finish it.  I'm a very good at networking and developing/maintaining good standing relationships with people.  I guess all those things combined qualify me.  B)
