Apple's official Mac gaming solution: Windows

Tired of the long wait for the few games that do get ported to Mac OS X? Tired of waiting for that one favorite game to get upgraded to Universal so you can play it on your Intel Mac? Tired of playing an unaccelerated Half-Life 2 on the hacked together, unsupported version of Windows XP you managed to get running on your Mac? This morning, Apple announced an official solution: use Windows, with (almost) full hardware support.
"Boot Camp lets you install Windows XP without moving your Mac data, though you will need to bring your own copy to the table, as Apple Computer does not sell or support Microsoft Windows." The download includes a driver CD with Windows XP compatible drivers for the ATi graphics chips, Intel's integrated graphics chips, ethernet, audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, and more. The only unsupported items are iSight, the Apple remote, Apple's USB modem, and the MacBook Pro's backlit keyboard.
While this is great news for would be hardcore Mac gamers, whose choices have been limited by market pressures for years, it also raises doubts about the continued economic viability of porting games from Windows to Mac OS. Will companies continue to invest the resources in providing a seamless Mac experience for gamers, or expect them to pony up for XP and dual boot their boxes?

From what i here it still hass some bugs like win xp freeses dering shutdown and some ferchers of mac have not ben tweeked for pc like wirless net working.
The video card on pc is much more pawerfull than the one on mac so all hi graphic games may not run well on the mac/pc.
all so thay have not figer out yet how to get vista windows upcomeing new OS do out next year to run on a mac yet....
thare are no lisens agreements or rgulations that whould pervint a mac from runing a microsoft SO.
my recamindation is to what till thay work out the bugs and see what macrosoft duss to combate this be for buying eny thing.

One of my friends has a MAC and keeps saying that they are far better than PCs, drives me mad how he goes on about it, there is a game for PC that he wants though, but as he has a mac he can't play it, I'll have t6o show him this.

I really dislike all these people who go on and on about how macs are better than pcs...
If they really are better how come most people have PCs?
Note: NOTHING u can say will convince me otherwise

Windows XP works with just about everything, that is the whole point of an opperating system isn't it? To be a base for the other programmes to run from.

the bigest problom with windows is thay wont to keep evry thing back word compatibal. this meens thay keep the bugy windows 3.1 and up componits in the oprating systiom.
haveing all this componits in one so coses lots and lots of probloms and meny sucraity varabiltys.
its a hed ake for programers to keep the old stuff runing with the new stuff the O.S. gest bloted and untinabule.
windows is a ram and hardrive hog it takes so much to run that bugy and unperdictabule so.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
haveing windows on a mac is a nusesity if thare was a whay to run programs formated to windows on a mac bleve me windows whould bern.
Whay do you thin Vista was delyed be cuss with every new vertion of windows it be come harder and harder to keep it working thay delayed vista a hole year just like XP.
i still remiber the loch of win 98 ferst adition the vidow of it is every whare lol.
