What Version Of Max Do You Use To Export?

just wondered what version of max your using to export your models?

i want to know what version the developers are using as im use 5.1 to export and i want to see if they are to cuz maybe thats why my light maps come out as transparent alphas for me

Glows are spirits, there are several tutorials over at a2files, they are added to ships using(joints for milkshape) not sure what theya re called in max, btw, does anyone have a stock sod importer for max 5, i just really like to see how the animation of things like the construction ship are achived.

sorry i keep saying glow, i mean light maps, come on guys ur both on msn so please post the max your using, im using 5.1 and when i export it just ignores the fact i have even applied a map to self illumination and only cares about diffuse.

also the sod exporter is avaliable everywhere, i currently use the 4.0 for max 5... animations are easy, infect their terribley easy, u do the animation in max using key frames, when you export it the animation is maintained then you tell armada in the .odf if it should use it or not and how many times.. the shuttles you see around the stations are all just animations hence why stations dont have does that open and close cuz it would do it constnatly otherwise, same goes for the shipyards and so on

alright now you guys are being rediculous, im asking you Optec or DocaCola directly which version of max your using and if kind enough what version of the exporter your using and all you can do is move my thread from one to another without answering, comr on where are your guys common curtosey, the busy excuse dont wash it cuz the question takes 1 setence to answer, more trouble then moving my topic, come on support the community that supports you and answer a quesiton now and again.

excuse mr Doca and Optec, can one of you please respond to my thread and ust say what version of max ur using and if possble the exporter, or alteast respond syaign we cant say cuz i have seen you reply to other peoples posts since i posted this and mvoe it, so can you please be kind to your community and just say one simple setence, pretty with sugar on top and some hundreds and thousands...

Hi, thanks for the info, tho i was after the importer, but don't worry bout it, if it's as simple as you say it is i shouldn't need it.

One more thing, where do i find the odf that controles animation (for example on all the time or only one when building?) in the stock A2.

Hmmm, Using max 7 myself, was also looking for a sod exporter (mainly because I have yet to find a Luna (AKA Titan) class that looks and animates nicely, but doesn't strangle my system (maybe as a more viable replacement for the (IMHO) useless galaxy of FO 3.0? :sweatdrop: ) ) enough nested parenthesis?

Incidently, have to add kudos. The first time I fired up FO, I blinked and asked myself "WTF are all those lil things flying around my bases?" "OMG, little bittie shuttles, way to go realism!"
