Aread Baron, although almost all virulent viruses and bacteria that affect us, our livestock, and our plants like warmer climates (Malaria, TMV, TB, Cholera, Typhus, Anthrax etc...) ... and one of the many predictions of the effects of global warming has these diseases spiking and affecting nearly 3/4 of the human population (I believe Typhus is estimated to afflict 3.5 billion people in 2030... right now it is in the hundreds of millions I think)
In fact, it has already begun Angry
Actually most life on earth prefer warmer conditions, still some do prefer colder ones. And that is the same with bacteria. There could be a deadly virus active in antartika but because it is not populated we dont know about it yet and if the atmosphere got colder it would spread.
I know its not very likely but it is possible and just because we dont know about it doesnt make it any less real. As I said humans prefer warmer conditions too so we know almost all the viruses and bacteria from that spectrum, but you never know what lies on the other side

I dont even care about this honestly. My point is that this pollution of water cannot be blamed on global warming, no way no how.

We are having massive and many wild fires thats made bigger by global worming they are have tuns of full because of our past way of dealing with forest fires. We all so are seem a unprecedented explosion of deadly treatment resistant viruses. We are seeing massive drouths and crop failures like never before. Wars related to food resources are starting, many country will not sell food any more do to not anoff extra after feeding there pops. and more....

Reminds me of taking a trip to the Appalachians to visit my cousins. The water there is clean, but is full of sulfer. You constantly get the feeling that your hands aren't clean, and the water ALWAYS smells funny. Not contaminated per se, but it annoying nevertheless.

This pic was not about Eufnoc swimming in his garden.

What part of not going to start a political debate didn't people understand? Some poor British people have their water contaminated by God knows what, and you're here chatting about something completely unrelated. First it was Hitler, and now this, what next?!

Would you stop spamming this thread. If you want to bitch about Bush, guns, and Iraq, go make a thread specifically dealing with those topics.

Its not spam. Just because you don't like what I am saying dose not make it spam PD.

Fine you spam all you like, I really couldn't care less, just thought about the real reason the thread actually existed and didn't want to undermine the thread's creator.

Ewm, it's not that we don't like what your saying. It's just that we don't like that you're saying it here, in a thread dedicated to the suffering of our poor British friends... suffering not tied to Global Warming.
Get on topic, or get off this thread.
And Jan, they probably wouldn't be at it if you had just let PD's comment on global warming, or lack thereof, die. Instead, you disagreed with him, giving ewm the perfect opportunity to go on about it, and for PD to disagree with ewm's nonsense.

If you are going to flame I will report you guy can you just respect the forum rules.... No ones forcing you to read the topic if you don't like it go away to a another topic. If you can be with people of differing opinions you should not be looking at topics with them.
I hardy call having to boule water suffering...

Ewm, you deal with PD regularly and you call THAT flaming? (No offense, PD, I agree with you most of the time
) Go ahead and report me if you really, honestly, think that that is flaming.
It's not that I don't like differing opinions, it's just that I don't like you forcing that conversation on non-political topics like this one. You need to stop arguing about things you know will cause a disturbance, no matter how strongly you feel on the subject.
Remember, that's why we have that nifty new topic button.
Chill, Jan. Lock it if you want, I guess, but you may be overreacting a bit.

Well, it hasn't gone wholly unreported.
So, no official source has offered any projection as to when the water will be safe again?

Post in the right forums
* If your topic is about something that we have a forum for, post it there.
* Don't post something off-topic just because you think you'll get "better responses" in a particular forum.

Giant UV lights?
That doesn't sound very promising, certainly not for a quick resolution.
You may want to fill up your bathtub and get creative.
