{UFP} - I.e. the United Federation of Planets (clan)
Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

This is an advertisement to anyone here who is not part of a Star Trek gaming clan and is interested in joining one of the oldest sole ST clans. Many who have recently signed up are awaiting STO and making preparations and making their way through the ranks.
I am fairly new there but I'm already taken buy the quality of their site.
Their only problem is not enough FO support! With your help guys, if you are interested in joining, and getting an avatar and/or sig like mine, sign up and make an application to join.
If we can get enough of you guys to sign up and start getting more of the clan interested in FO, then we will have a larger community. In turn I am encouraging clan members to make accounts here. FO could do with this "publicity" on such a large site.
Also any of you with other Star Trek games or interested in STO will be able to find a home there.
{UFP} Supported games: Armada 1&2, Bridge Commander, Star Trek Online, Elite Force 1&2 and the RPG-X mod 2.2.

Post here if interested or have any questions.

i admire what your trying to do and the fact your trying to get more people to play but its a shame it has to be apart of a clan to do it.
I'd happily join the site just to challenege and train people in tactics and stratergies not being apart of the clan.
plus im quite happy being apart of the old and dead B!G, though i still wear their name in my title as respect to the amazing and powerful clan they once were.

You don't need to be a part of the clan to have an account, there are plenty of guests.

here we are all talking about clans. But whenever I come on no one is there.
So far only only red, dom, and Cbos have been kind enough to play against me. no one else is ever there.
there was one guy buy the name of omega something, and he used to use some remote build exception while playing only 1v1 against me.
Ray and Darkhelmet were on once. but they've not been seen since.
Where are you guys? even on Sunday and Saturday afternoon US est no one is online.
Are we talking about clans for online play or just namesake FO forum id changes?

What we need is an xfire group, so everyone who has fleetops will always see who else is online, unlike hamachi which can only have 16, and the GS lobby because it's a pain to keep the game up.

i used to play a lot online, but almost no one was ever there, and 1v1's get boring after a while.

Well, you can always tell who is online by clicking on the forum tab and going to the bottom of the page. Then just PM them for a game. Sure, some people have the fleetops page up but aren't looking at it, but it's usually how I find people to play with. Crude, yet effective.

Ah true I didn't think of that, good thinking Mal.
I just think it would be beneficial to have more ways of setting up games considering many people have there own personal preference.
I mean many people use hamachi, xfire, the Gamespy lobby, the Online Gaming Board here, PMs as you suggested and gaming clan forums as I have mentioned above.
As our community here grows little by little, it would make sense that we have more and more methods available to us for setting up a game. There is no way in hell we could make everyone do the same thing, but if enough people looking for games in more than one way, the community will feel more connected with itself.
