Just a not to say thank you to all the troops who gave there life and those who where present in normandy on D - Day

I don't really know how this fits into small talk.

Well it is nice to say that but i'm not sure how that fits into a gaming forum in any possible way. Many of them did give the ultimate price, especially on Omaha beach so I can understand trying to be respectful.

TMP: It's a smalltalk forum, you chat about ANYTHING. There isnt anything which is "appropriate" or "inappropriate" (edit: other than that stated in the rules, and just plain taste). I know that FO:Forums are about gaming, but on nearly every forum you go to, the smalltalk/general chat forums are unrestricted. Pretty lucky that you dont have admin powers then.

Anyway,

Yeah, there's been lots of events all over the country paying respects to those people lost at the five beaches, all of them vital to the success of the campaign.
And as this was the last official anniversary of it (as the people are getting on a bit now), it was a very important date.
