Team Fortress 2

So i was thinking about buying TF2 off of Steam. I have heard great things about it, and its only 20 bucks so i was wondering what anyone thought about it.

I have played it on occasion.  It is a fast-paced shooter, even more so than what the CoD franchise has turned into.  The class differentiation is actually quite good and I hear it is even better with the gradual introduction of the different class updates, though I haven't played with any of these updates myself.

Well i like COD so i guess ill try it. Is the Orange Box worth the extra 10 bucks??

Absolutely.  Even if it was just for Portal.  Portal was Epic.

Definitely.  I would have paid $50 for portal alone.  Can't wait for portal 2.

TF2 is good, I prefer the Battlefield series myself, but definately spend the extra to get the orange box, you wont regret it. THE CAKE IS A LIE!

I have it and it is great! I have played it for more than 200 hours and still trying to get better at it so ya, by all means get the game, and there is constantly updates, new items, recently there was a huge class update for the engineer so ya pay for the game and give it go.

Although there is a steep learning curve.

There aint nothing better for the price.  Orange box won't leave you crying in shame, feeling used and tossed aside.  buy one. hell, buy two.

Yeah, I actually got Portal free off steam.  Definitly worth the price though.  I would have payed $10 for it had I known how great it was.

One of the best games I've evah played.

It's a great game, but buy the orange box. For the extra 10 bucks you get Portal and Half-Life 2, plus Episodes 1 and 2. (also great games) CounterStrike: Source is pretty good also.

For me, TF2 was ruined by some of the more recent patches. I still play it sometimes, but I don't like randomly dropping items when achievements was a much better way of acquiring them.
