I personally love the books, and in my opinion, they do a better job of keeping things canon than the shows do!

Ohhh I Love the Star Trek books... I've read probably less than 15 though sadly... due to time constrictions. But I've yet to come across one that I wanted to toss in the garbage like a few of the TV episodes I've seen (more or less ENT ones)... LoL!

i've read a few, can't really remember the titles. Oh, except the manuals. I’ve read quite a few of those.

I feel so sorry for you. You've missed out on much of the Star Trek storyline

First off I agree with Redshirt... anyone who hasn't read any of the books have definately missed a lot of good stories! Some of them definatly could have replaced some of the nasty episodes of Trek that were produced.

So far I've read a few of Diane Carey... I've come to like her books thus far...

But lemme see... hmmmm... (lookin' at my bookshelf now... LoL!) I've read...

Dreadnaught by DC, The Greate Starship Race by DC, Inavsion:First Strike by DC and that's it for TOS.

Then there was Gauntlet and Progenitor by Michael Jan Friedman (Stargazer series).

Next I read the First two Genesis Wave books... I really liked those... I've yet to start the 3rd one... it's still on the shelf.

Then came Invasion:The Soldiers of Fear, some of Gemworld Part 1 and also Maximum Warp Part 1. Those being TNG books. Then I read The Return by William Shatner.

I also read two of the Post Voyager Series books... Homecoming and The Farther Shore. Lastly I read the Captain's Table Omnibus cover to cover... except for the story in it about Captain Pike. I really REALLY liked that book!

Currently I'm trying to plow throughh the Double Helix Book 1: Infection. I'm about half way through it but homework has been tying me up lately... so I'm not making any progress on it sadly... :(

But so far that's all I've read except for the TNG Tech. Manual! :D

i read like 3 or 4 books, but i'm a computer addict so i mainly play startrek pc games and watch the shows at the same time (quite entertaining i must say). you should try playing multi-player EF2 while watching TNG or DS9, very challenging.

OMG!!! Whew... that's a lot of reading! I will say this though... I've heard of every single one and have hoped to read most of them but I've just no time! I really liked the first 2 of the Invasion series... first two books I actually read in fact (surprising I remember that) but I've yet to hunt down the last two online.

Oh and I really wanted to get into the "A Time to..." series.. from the way it looks I'm thinking you enjoyed that one... LoL!!! But seriously was it good? I'm curious... I've got some Amazon dollars to spend from a gift card I got in June and I'm thinkin' about adding to my collection...

And Casper... KUDOS to you! I commend you on your exemplary Trek Multi-Tasking skills... LoL! :D

I can't say that I could do that... If I tried I'd probably get absorbed by the TV LoL! I'd probably look something like this... :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: LOL!

Double Helix was okay. I could never figure out what the last book had to do with the rest of the series, though.

Oh, and I can't wait 'till they come out with some more Stargazer books!
