there are trekkie bronies too, the whole discord/q thing just brought the two together a little closer. here's a question, which fans are less socially desirable, bronies or trek fans?

nobody playing a mod of a decade old star trek game was ever gonna be winning popularity contests.

But... but their user experience is demonstrably less rich!

Nah, probably some user here who has a daughter watching the show simply noticed John de Lancie doing the voice-acting for some character.

And then naively opened another troll-alert-thread 

I had heard about de Lancie voicing Discord on Equestria Daily, then I felt the need to tell everyone here. I do not have a daughter, and I have watched every episode of My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic.

I am share we are all men well most of us on this forum yet am I the only one wondering why we are watching my little pony...

Fraid not, the biggest fans of My Little Pony right now are adult males ages 15-30ish. I believe the equestria sitewww.equestriadaily.com has roughly 3 million views a week or something like that, with over 90% being male 

also check out the demographics on the youtube vids of the episodes, will paint the same picture.

why should we hide our true personality from others? all they can do is hate over the internet. there's too many cats in the intertubes to let all that hate through anyway.

tbh when you're trying to impress a girl nobody here was ever gonna mention fleetops either. we all love fleetops here, but its not exactly material for normal (what media tells us is normal) social interaction. you'd have to explain what a game mod is, then what an rts is before finally she understood what fleetops is and it would have the stigma of being star trek attached. by then you've bored her legs shut.

The most annoying thing about girl gamers is that the few that exist are usually good. My ex used to beat me at mario kart sometimes.

Also if your fiancée spies on your fleetops postings then by complimenting her in public you have surely pleased her. I'm sure she'll know you were sincere :p

actually i prefer mlp to star wars, ive only ever watched episode 4 (the first one) and i thought it was crap. i wish republic commando was a star trek game. or an mlp game. that way i'd understand more of the dialogue.

i've heard of it, someone once told me you have to go to a place called "outsides" to do this rl. what magical land beyond the borders of the known universe that is this "outsides" i do not know.
