Prototype Fighter

Well im back modeling again and this time im only looking for peoples opinion on a design. Note that the lower light purple wings are suppose to move like on a F-14

Interesting. What is the history of this design (aka, where is it supposed to be used, what is it supposed to emulate - etc )

Well i was thinking it would be something along the lines of either a interceptor or a fighter/bomber (i dont know yet) I just kind of made it up but i took some ideas from the BSG viper and the normandy from mass effect. Im just looking for ideas about the overall shape of it. Also i wanted to make it in the homeworld style (hard lines and not very many curves)

Huh, well it looks a little weird to me. It also looks like it woud be incredibly small...unless of course its bigger on the inside

i play those games and the design is sound,need to decide on the size etc,but so far so good i think

I changed it to a slightly more conventional design and added a place for a cockpit as well. Note I left the movable wings in, so is this one any better, worse???

Well i think its more or less done idk if ill keep this one or redo it but im going to post pictures anyway. The first picture is with its wings in fast-moving mode (dont have a better name yet) and the rest are with its wings deployed.

Ah, yes that looks better. Who is it supposed to be used by? That can be used to decide what the exterior will look like.

idk who its for, its not really a star trek ship its just a ship i made up for 3ds practice. idk if ill texture it or redo it and knock off some of the edges.

Actually I would like some fighter shaped sods because I'm trying to create a race that is mostly composed of little unmanned fighters.

Its not a sod file plus it has no textures and its too much work to make them.

Huh, a race made up of fighters..I like that idea. There was one race from a Star Trek novel that had huge fleets made of fighters, but I forget what they were called. Nefrity, or something like that. That would be pretty cool.
