Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Like your sig says Cdr, trust your feelings. Whenever I see some Frog government official bloviating on TV talking about Grande France and all that crap, I feel like they are just a sad imitation of an actual global power, i.e. the US, and the bile rises in my throat. The way they try to dictate socialist policy to our real allies in Eastern Europe, Britain, the Levant (Israel, Lebanon, etc.) is just pathetic.

I really can't understand all that hatred... You surely have serious problems.

:o    :(

agree with you here, even though i don't trust the french either never wish this upon anyone.

come on pepal we are alise with frace and canida what did canida ever do to you?
yeah but even if they weren't our allies ( which the french like to act) these people were just innocents inside a plane.

to all you thinking this is good: your sick  :yucky:

Trust your feelings! <= Goes only for Jedi, not for Sith. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

It's too late, for me son :D

Of course those french are probably innocent, but none of them died, so I would enjoy watching their incompetant pilots in the debriefing.

Same can be said for your incompetant intelligence for the 9/11 tragedy yet noone laughed......

Well, the problem with that plane accident was:

The airport was closed due to bad weather, meaning it would have been very dangerous for planes to land.

They then opened the airport again, which must have led to the assumption, that the weather was ok again. As it seems, it wasn't. The Air France machine was the first to land after the airport was opened again... the rest is history.

Could have happened to any other plane.
However, the planes crew and the design of the aircraft were good enough, to get all 309 people out of the plane before it caught fire. That was good work.

And the airport's fire crews were well organized as well. The first fire vehicles arrived just 1 minute after the accident.

... no comment. Still can't understand those attitudes. There is only one Earth and we all have to share it.

PS: The Invasion of France in WWII, the Battle of Verdun WWI ... both were also powered by similar attitudes the Germans had concerning the French.

Thank God that is over. Arch enemies became friends...
Tolerance is a very good idea.

OK I agree with Roach, we should try to not antagonize anyone by making this a "political thread #3." I am anxiously awaiting the post-crash investigation of course, I'm really interested if this was human error, mechanical fault, or just bad luck.
