is there a mod for Armada 2 where it is purely old ships? like from kirks time or from before kirks time?

Check A2files.  I believe that Yesteryears will be exactly what you're looking for.  When it comes out, that is.

They have a larger team than FO, and are also less quality-obsessed, so it will probably be out sometime in the near future.
