hey nuke, i dont think its wise to be telling new and impressionable players arbitrary statements about op/up.

especially since the new patch is only days old.

in the past feds were op, nowadays its harder to tell, differences are a lot smaller. but the fedrat's reputation has kept with them.

nobody should be making arbitrary statements about a race being op/up so shortly after the patch.

Well I been playing as the Dominion and Klingons. So far I love playing as these two races.

Im still getting used to the MOD.

ah~ i wish i was a new player... the 'excitement' of playing something new with amazing graphics is nice... i wish i could forgot about fleetops and play it for the "very first time" again ...


oh FYI: borg can't beat fed - unless fed plays crappy or borg gets super lucky... ;D

also dominion and Klingon can beat federation

borg beats all strategy expect federation warpin rush

Haha I remember the first time I played Flops.  A friend gave me a stack of old CD's that he didn't want anymore and I looked through them, Armada II was the only one I was really interested in.  I looked online to see if it was patched and found Fleet Ops back in Beta 2.

So I got this idea.  I was planning to hang out with another friend that weekend so I installed it on our (at the time) 2 new computers and we made a deal to play each other.  The trick was that neither of us was going to play or even look at the game until our first game so it was a completely unknown system.

I messed around with the Generix yard and D'Deridex that could fly through asteroids (I think), then I got rolled by 30-some moving Noxter turrets.    It was a surprisingly memorable game.
