Did I miss why Dr. Lazarus deleted his account?  He was a long time member and unless his account was deleted by someone else, or he was banned, I don't see here why he would have deleted it.  Was there a goodbye I missed?

I you did then so did i.
Even if we disagree it is a sad day when someone deletes his account due to a discussion on the board.

i doubt he was banned. even though i think he was out of order, he didnt do anything as bad as the one previous temporary ban this forum has had.

maybe something happened in another thread/pm that we deleted or we didnt see that justified such measures.

Still i do hope he didn't leave because of that grammar discussion.

Nope, he wasnt banned. Banned accounts are still available in the forums. We do only delete accounts if the account holder requests us to do so.

I would say Germany out of the list, but it really all depends on what you mean by powerful. Normally one thinks of military when powerful is used as a word, however economy, debt and such can also be considered.

Did you know, that Australia (while it isn't part of europe so isn't really relevant here) is one of the countries with the least about of debt. We have I think it is a couple of hundred Million, compared to say America's couple of hundred billion. While not perfect AU is one of the more nicer places to live, with a higher quality of life where the government spends a lot on improving things, well when Labour is in charge which thankfully has been the case since the end of 2007.

Actually, America's is (just recently) up to 14 trillion. :hmmm:  I for one wouldn't mind cutting out quite a few government funded projects to get rid of that 5,000 lb gorilla...

australians also have cool accents, thats why many brits go live there. the only problem is that whenever the ashes come round british expats have to lock their doors.

As a Brit who is looking into moving to Australia... I don't think the accent is my main motivation (not that there's anything wrong with it). More to do with better work opportunities for Mrs Atlantis.
