Mod Sites

Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

Does anyone know any good Star Trek Mod sites? Since Filefront might be dying soon, I need another one.

Yes sadly the entire FileFront newtork is closing down (apparantly due to financial problems since Ziff Davies has filed for bankrupcy) , the forums have already gone, and I think there's about a week until the main site and all the file download sites go as well. Many people from across the network are busily downloading the content of the sites to save as many mods as possible.

As for specific armada 2 modding, IKS and the other (soon to be former) staff are working on a new site along the same lines as 2files, and a temporary forum has been set up here:

A2 Mod Community Transition Forum

Sad news I know, but hopefully the community itself will pull through.

There's always AFC though again I think that is slowly dying with AFC himself retired now I think the site is short on the funds it needs to keep running.

Also sad news about filefront it's where I learned to mod A2. Shame about the whole thing.

Oh... I didn't know that A2 Files was  closing...  :crybaby: .

There really isn't anything left, besides this site.

 A light in the darkness that is everything.

wow when ever i was looking for a mod patch or new map google the name of the game along with files. It has long since been my favorite place to download stuff. do places like source forge have mods. btw i am not just talking a2. also there is moddb but there are not very many a2 mods on there.

moddb used filefront for most of its downloads IIRC.

Filefront going down is probably going to leave a bit of a hole in the modding community.
