Does anyone know how to pronounce the name, Mjolnir?

According to wikipedia it's pronounced MYOL-neer, but I wouldn't mind a second opinion when using that site.

I always thought you pronounced the J like a J and not a Y but dictionary.com seems to mostly agree with Wikipedia: myawl-nir

yeah, it's myoll-neer.  Ancient viking-speak has a lot of silent j's.

Also it gives you an attack speed bonus, 20% chance to cast chain lightning on an attack, and the ability to cast the storm shield buff.

It's the small talk section, no one cares. Wait, I've forgotten, where does that name come up in Halo?

In the Armory on Halo:Reach, some of the helmets boast the Mjolnir title

Mjolnir is the name of the Hammer of Thor, which kinda pre-dates Halo.

the entire armour worn by spartans (master chief and his genetically augmented friends) is called mjolnir. not just the helmets. from the first game, through to the last, the armour is called mjolnir with a number after to indicate versions.

i am confident thor will not be able to hurt me, since as an athiest i dont believe in norse gods (aesir or vanir) just as much as i dont believe in monotheistic gods such as allah or the god known by christians as God.

And if Thor turns out to be a powerful alien like Superman or Q only mistaken for a god by primitives, still confident he couldn't hurt you?
