Well, if you already have Armada 2 installed, all that FO needs is an A2 executable - either CD or previous installation of A2. Just direct the installation to use that executable :)

I do, when you're in the installer it will ask if you want to use the CD or a previously installed armada II .exe

I'm not sure but I think that you need the CD to play but... I'll go check and eddit to let you know

EDIT: yea, looks like you still need the CD to launch an instant action game, don't know about multi-player but don't know why that would be diffrent

yeah i need the disc to play......  but same thing happened with armada 2 and i used a no-cd crack and it works........do'es any body know how to get one for fleet operations

you could try doing the same thing you did for your armada II,  I think it should work because that aspect of the system should be very close to armada II.

NOTE: I am in no way telling you or recomending that you should use a no-cd crack, and I take NO responciblity for any legality issues involved in useing such a process

by the way, WELCOME TO THE FORMS! :)

DONT YOU need the disk to play fleet ops, about your best bet is maybe going to e-bay?, without the disk you cant run any of the star treak games. Maybe iam wrong? that is also a darn good game Star Wars. Had both games the expansion, and Empire AT War, still have empire at war. Anyways getting a disk on e-bay is expensive.

there are some games that just want the disc in the drive but never actualy look at it. some games only need it in the drive when you start up so it might work as long as you have a 'full' install and I think fleetops fits the bill considering almost nothing is from the stock game now.

I have a few games like this for PC for example Star Wars Empire at War and it's expantion only want to verify you have a real disc when you start the game, then you can remove it and start it on another computer at home and play multi-player on your LAN. I think it may only want the disc when you launch an instant action or multi-player and that it may never look for the disc again.
