Guys, just got a message in the mail which is an invitation to a "casting" in Movie Park Germany, apparently they don't do the typical high-pressure psycho analysis interviews and are more or less laid back. I'm looking for any advice such as; what information I'll need about the park applied for the jobs cleaner, game stand seller, food stand seller and stuff. From what I've read you have to come in and be very friendly, good mood (unless you're a good looking blonde woman like my wife's sister, she walked in and he said when can you start? <.<)
Anyway I absolutely have to crack this interview and land a job because it's so ridiculously hard for me to get a job in Germany even being English <.<

Hm.. I don't know exactly what you've got to know about the park for that, I just know that usually that these casting are used for people doing the seasonal job there. In the train I sometimes hear people talking about their work there (it's in Bottrop-Kirchellen, I live in Bottrop) and basically it seems to depend on what your skills are. In general you don't have to be afraid of that casting.

Well, the biggest problem is my german honestly, I can understand mostly anything they say aslong as they don't go in-to over the top formal words which I've never heard of but my spoken German is basic because I simply lack the vocabulary to describe anything. I'm confident I can come across as friendly and in general condifent however as for the skills I can only say English as a mother tongue and computers. I applied for reinigungskraft, verkauf, games verkauf, fahrgeschäfte and maybe gastronomie. I applied months ago <.< can't remember exactly. Any advice?
Thanks for the reply btw and you live REALLY close to us, we live in Gladbeck atm moving soon to Dorsten.

well, this could be a little hard.
To be honest, in Movie Park many many guests are no Germans - I often heard the employees talk english or netherlands.
For cleanerjobs it at least shouldn't matter how your german is.
Sale... can be difficult then. But I guess you will be instructed on your stand so you would know most things unless it's a fanshop selling stuff you aren't that familiar with.
A friend of mine worked in the fanshops some years ago but we lost contact- I don't know who else you could ask.
"Gastronomie" will be the most difficult thing I guess, because serving in a restaurant requires a lot of communicational skills, so you should be able to understand and speak at least two languages well.

Funny ... it is pretty close to my hometown "Bottrop"
... I haven't been there for a long time. Good Luck for your job interview, though! If I can help you with anything let me know
